Oilpas: Concept and Technology

At the core of the OILPAS System lies a proven principle: optical imaging of a thin liquid film within a flow cell, enhanced by intelligent algorithms for recognition and characterization. This enables precise detection of particles as small as 1 μm.


A small fraction of the oil circulates continuously through the flow cell, where it is optically imaged at adjustable intervals—up to 1 Hz, depending on application requirements. Advanced algorithms then identify each object, analyzing size, quantity, and defining characteristics.
